This light uses a combination of red laser beams and LED lights projecting onto either the domes or the walls and ceilings above the unit. When placed on a table near a wall the lights are visible on the wall and about 6 ft. circle on a ceiling within 8 ft. For a larger or more dramatic effect try the Laser Stars Starfield Projectors or more powerful Bliss 15 and Bliss 50 Starfield Projectors that can cover rooms up to concert hall sizes.
