Laser Starfield Projector Operation Manual - For the Ultimate Starry Night Sky Experience!

Here are some suggestions for making the most of your new Laser Starfield Projector.

The darker the better! The brilliance of the cloud field and starbeams is most powerful when there is no other competing lighting. If you are lighting tables, walkways, stages, etc. make sure the lighting is directional and add shading to prevent it from spreading further than needed.

Project on to white or light surfaces! The brighter the white to more the colors shine. Most people think you have actually painted something on the walls and ceiling to get such a brilliant effect.

Illuminate the whole laser beam by adding haze, smoke or fog. Add white surfaces with fabrics, guaze, semi transparent plastics (iridescent materials), glass, mirrors and fog, smoke or haze. With fog the whole length of each beam becomes illuminated with a marvelous effect.

Location Typically the best placement is from a corner mounting that is low enough to get at least a 30 degree angle towards the ceiling and high enough to be above dancers who might shadow the effect. Since the beams radiate at 160 degrees from the lens on the commercial BlissLights, the beams will shower down on the dancers as well as the vivid blue nebula cloud effect on the ceiling.

Landscape Lighting When illuminating trees and shrubs use a low mounting location that aims at the maximum amount of leaves from the viewers angle.

Safety of Laser Beams The BlissLight laser projectors have been rigorously tested to prove that no single beam coming out of the projector could be harmful to the eyes unless the lens is viewed from a few inches away. Avoid eye contact with the laser beams at any close distances.

Power Requirements - BlissLights draw a relatively small amount of electricity for the powerful beams that they emit. The BlissLight - 50 Milliwatt Laser draws less than 2 amps on a household ac circuit. For use with generators or inverters you need to make sure that the electrical power is a pure sine wave (sinusoidal) and not a modified sine wave or it will cause premature failure of motors.

Mounting & Weather Protection The BlissLights LS & LSA landscape models are made to outdoor exposure with temperatures down to 40 degrees on the standard units and to 15 degrees fahrenheit on the SZ versions. The other projectors must be protected from moisture which would damage the projector. When mounting the BlissLight bracket to a wall or any other surface, use a protective secondary security wire to prevent dropping the projector during mounting or dismantling. The use of specialized tamper proof hardware may be wise where the public may be able to reach and remove with the projector.

We are always excited to see the results of these installations and welcome you to send us photos and video clips showing the lights in action and your own creative presentations. Please share with us your results.

Thanks for your Laser Starfield Projector purchase and for spreading the BlissLight experience.
